Vilmy T-40/2 L-Shaped Lash Tweezers
VILMY
$27.00
Hardened Japanese steel, a 40-degree working angle and a long 12 mm tip. The Vilmy L-shaped tweezer built specifically for gathering volume fans.
Why the 12 mm tip
Tip length is what decides how wide a fan you can gather in one motion. Twelve millimetres is long for a lash tweezer, and that is the point: it gives you enough contact surface to pick up and hold a wide fan without the lashes sliding out of alignment as you lift. On a short tip a 6D fan closes; on this one it stays open.
The 40-degree angle
Forty degrees keeps your hand well clear of the client's face while the tip stays visible. It is the angle most artists find natural for fan work specifically, as opposed to the steeper angles that suit isolation.
How it is made
- Hardened Japanese steel: holds its alignment instead of splaying after a few months
- Three-stage finishing with hand sharpening: the tips actually meet, which is what a fan needs
- Tight closure: no play at the point of contact, so nothing slips as you place
