What the L curl gives you

L has a straight base and an almost right-angle bend, so the lash leaves the lid line before it starts to curve. That solves two specific problems no other curl handles as well: a hooded lid that swallows a C, and natural lashes that point down. The flat base also gives a bigger bonding surface, which is why L sets often outlast an artist's usual retention.
